I received mine on Friday, 12-02-11, and my initial impressions were very good. Well made, nice finish, long adjustment for the rails. Against my own judgement, I installed it on my bike, a 2012 Surly Pugsley that I use as an everyday bike, the day before a bikepacking trip. I had planned a 2 hour ride after work to my campsite, with a grocery store run in the middle. While riding home on Friday, I was thankful for the long rails, as I had to move the very far back to keep from sitting on the rear section of the seat frame. Now, keep in mind, I am 5'11", and I ride a 20" frame with a Thomson setback post and Titec Jones bars, so I have a great deal of adjustment in my cockpit.
I wanted to give the saddle a fair run before I played with the tension. I rode home Friday night, then to work Saturday morning. I was very uncomfortable, as the leather was flexing enough to hit the clamp on my seatpost. I turned the tension bolt 4 turns, that helped, then I went with 2 more turns, and the saddle has become much better. On my way to camp after work, I moved the saddle back on the rails about 5mm, and that seems to put the saddle in a great spot for me. I am becoming very fond of this saddle. Plus, as everyone sees my bike at the shop, the saddle receives many compliments.
Yesterday, I was able to test the waterproof feature of the saddle, as it was raining very hard, and my fenders had not arrived yet. The conditions were terrible, but the saddle seems unaffected, save for a dulling of the finish, which only gives more grip and gives it character, which I like.
Well, enough of my long winded rhetoric for this week. I am taking my wife camping this weekend, and we will be doing some mountain biking, and my saddle will be joining us! More next week.

I received the test saddle late Friday November 18, Saturday morning set it up on my bike for the Colnago Gran Fondo Miami ride on Sunday. Did not have a chance to ride it before the big ride and I was concerned that I would be breaking the saddle in on a 55 mile ride.
Sunday at 0600 hours it was partly cloudy we had some light drizzles and it was very windy, 15-25 Knot winds out the East North East. Around 1500 cyclist waited in a group for the start at least 5 cyclist commented on the saddle asking about and admiring its design.
Once the ride started, I totally forgot about the new saddle. At the 20 mile rest stop I was reminded of it when a couple of guys approached me again about the saddle, "Where in italy is it made?". The ride was a great, the wind was a bear, the saddle is the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden. I like a stiff saddle for group rides and higher cadence riding and this saddle delivers.
So now its early thanksgiving and there is a big group ride, so I am off for a pre Turkey coma ride.

Hello, To give some background, I'm a 41yr old 6'5" 231lb male rider. I have two other Selle saddles and find them very comfortable; but like some I had to send one back to have it reskinned due to stretching. I commute year round in Nebraska at least 3 times a week and ride several weekly rides. I ride on downtown busy streets for the commute and the other rides are on crushed limestone and MUP trails. When the weather is nicer I ride across the river in Iowa on the secondary highways in the Loess Hills. The bike I am testing this with is a Cannondale T2000 that I use for loaded touring. It has the fenders I'll need when it starts to snow and get sloppy out. This time of year it's the bike I spend the most time on and the one that the older Selle came off of.
I commuted to work and back this morning for 28 miles. I wore wool tights with no padding. The saddle was as I expected it to be. Just as comfortable as my older one. I was in and out of the saddle dealing with traffic so I didn't spend as much time sitting and spinning as I would have liked. I plan to go on a longer ride tomorrow evening to test that out. The saddle was tensioned near perfect when it was sent to me and it didn't need any tension adjustments at the end of the ride. I could tell the saddle leather, or laminate was thicker when I compared it to my older one. I'm really looking forward to getting more miles in. I wish I had more to say about it right now other than it feels the same but looks to be a bit thicker. I will write another comment after tomorrow nights longer ride.

My saddle arrived by Fed Ex late Friday afternoon 11/19. It was getting dark so I opted to set the saddle up and give it the first real test on Saturday. On Saturday I did our usual 53 mile ride out to the horse farms with one of my riding partners. We stopped at a couple of trailhead along the way and I made minor adjustments to tilt and forward/backward position. I had done a couple of long rides on Thursday and Friday with the new saddle that I had purchased about 2 month ago and although I had some slight tenderness in the sit bone area I was not hurting enough to keep me from riding. After making the second adjustment I felt as though I was sitting on a pillow. There was no irritation anywhere to be found. Ride number 2 was 45 miles on Monday 11/21 and the saddle felt even better (I kept asking myself how can this be?). On Tuesday I rode with the usual group and did a 60 mile ride north of Lake Monroe. This is the best saddle I have ever had on my bike and I have had a few. I truly believe my legs will give out before my butt does. The cycling community is in for a real treat when this saddle is available to the buying public
