My saddle was squeaking a little so I ordered my free nylon gasket but I don't know how to install it.

1. Turn the saddle upside down.
2. Screw tension bolt all the way in so leather is slack and tension bolt can be separated from nose piece.
3. Separate nose piece from tension bolt.
4. If your saddle is new, the nose piece may be tight against the tension bolt, but you should be able to separate these two parts.
5. Place the gasket in the nose piece.
6. Put the tension bolt back into the nose piece and screw tension bolt back out to appropriate tension for your saddle.
7. The gasket is now between nose piece and tension bolt and sqeaking should be eliminated.
8. If you like you can spray some silicone on the gasket as well. Be sure not to get any silicone on your saddle.

*When requesting a nylon gasket please include your shipping address in the message field. Thanks!

What are the parts of your saddle?

Saddle – the leather upper in contact with your posterior
Leather laminate – the supporting leather glued to the underside of the saddle to provide support
    Rails
    C Form
    Nosepiece
    Tension Screw
    Rivets

What are your rails made of?

We recently upgraded to chromoly to provide greater strength and support for our rails.

What is the difference between Titanico (formerly Clydesdale) and Legacy?

The leather laminate is glued to the underside of the saddle to provide additional support and prevent stretching. This laminate comes in two sizes:
Titanico – larger
Legacy – smaller
You can have a close look here.

What is the difference in leather colors?

We manufacture 8 different colors of saddles:
Black – Available on both saddles. If you weigh more than 140lbs (65kg) select Titanico. If you weight less than 140lbs (65kg) select Legacy.

Colors – Only available on Titanico

      Golden
      Mahogany
      Brown
      Red
      Pink
      White
      Yellow

Why is there a difference between the Colors and Black?

Because of the tanning process the black leather tends to be stiffer and the colored leathers tend to be more pliable.

Are your saddles different sizes?

No. They are all the same size. The only difference is the laminate size on the underside of the saddle.

Why have you changed your weight criteria for the Titanico (formerly Clydesdale) and Legacy saddles?

Leather is an interesting and variable product. Every color of leather we put on our saddles varies, each from the other, primarily due to the tanning process. Now that this saddle is in wide distribution, we are learning better how the leather performs in the long run.

Colored Saddles – we now know that our colored saddles perform better in the long run when used only with the Titanico laminate. We no longer manufacture the colored saddles with the Legacy laminate, although this is available upon request for ultra-petite riders.

Black – we have determined that 140lbs and 62kgs for the black leather is a more favorable weight cutoff for comfort and durability.

Do my sit bone measurements really matter?

For most of us sit bones are not the key dimension. That is not to say sit bones are unimportant. But for most of us, the more important issue is the independent, asymetrical movement of the pelvic structure and having a saddle that mirrors this movement. Our bodies need a saddle held in suspension, made from skin like material, that molds to our individual shape and moves independently with the two sides of our bodies.

Will you be coming out with a lighter weight saddle?

We are working on a lighter weight prototype and hope to be able to introduce it in 2012.
